The deal between robbers and collectors of Alacao gold continues. They know that the pieces found in the community of Canton Guano are unique and that once sold they generate thousands of dollars.

Heritage continues to be affected, despite the military vigilance of the Galapagos Brigade and the research of the National Institute of Cultural Heritage (INPC) and the Chimborazo prosecution. A smuggler of these objects, who requested to be unnamed, said that the pieces made by the Puruhá are sold in Ibarra, Ambato, Riobamba, Quito and Cuenca, since last May.
