Dear Sir/Madam, On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Convention on the Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage (2001), UNESCO prepares in cooperation with the Catholic University of Leuven a Scientific colloquium on the imminent factors impacting underwater cultural heritage at the Royal Library of Belgium (4 Boulevard de l'Empereur, B-1000 Brussels, Belgium) from 13 to 14 December 2011. The colloquium will gather reputed international scholars, representatives from archaeological services and enterprises concerned for a high-level scientific exchange (preliminary programme under). The colloquium is open to all interested professionals. The working languages of the meeting will be English and French, with simultaneous interpretation in both languages.
